As a Clinical Psychologist I offer individualised psychological therapy, providing a safe place to think and clarify your difficulties and exploring alternative and positive ways to address these. I am committed to helping people find a creative, flexible and positive way of moving forward. Treatment is on a highly collaborative basis and individual therapy is adapted and tailored to the client’s personal needs with a jointly agreed focus.
I work with adult clients with a wide range of psychological difficulties from mild/moderate to more severe. These include anxiety, worry, depression, trauma and other difficulties. See my website for more information. I have worked over 25 years in a variety of setting including as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS where I facilitated Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy groups.
I use a range of evidence based psychological therapies. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Compassion Focussed therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. I work integrative often combining elements to tailor the treatment approach to the client’s specific needs.
I am a member of the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC number PYL20129) and I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society.
