Person Centred Counsellor
Deciding who to approach for help once you have decided to seek counselling can be daunting. It's important to know something about the professional and their way of working, to decide who might be a good fit for you.
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in counselling, 14 years' post-qualifying experience as a person-centred counsellor, and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I offer an attentive and empathic space, to help you feel safe to explore the issues which have brought you to counselling. We work together on discovering what might help you improve, cope with, or if possible resolve, these issues. The main basis of the person-centred approach lies in helping you discover your own way forward. At our first session we will discuss what you are looking for from the counselling process, whether counselling seems the right avenue for you, and how we might work together.
I also offer counselling supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors.
