Psychodynamic Counsellor
Psychodynamic counselling can help develop a self-awareness around the reasons for unhelpful behaviour patterns, both past and present. Looking at how we have built defences to protect ourselves from emotional pain can also help in understanding how they may be impacting on the way we relate to ourselves and others in everyday life.
Finding a counsellor to listen, without judgment, to our inner fears, sadness, loneliness, shame, can help to start the healing process so we can feel less overwhelmed and more at peace with ourselves.
I understand that this takes courage and aim to create a safe and supportive environment in which we can work together at a pace that suits.
Awarded the Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from The Garnethill Centre, I am a member of BACP and work according to their Ethical Framework.
